Elon University seeks an exceptional academic leader to serve as Dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

The Elon community is characterized by a strong student- and learning-centered mission, a commitment to excellent teaching and a spirit of innovation. The university includes more than 425 full-time faculty members and 5,700 undergraduate and 700 graduate students from 49 states, the District of Columbia and 47 other nations. The university has six academic units: Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences; the School of Communications; the School of Education; the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business; the School of Health Sciences; and the School of Law, which is located in downtown Greensboro. Elon offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and seven graduate programs. The university sends more students to study abroad than any other master's-level university in the nation, and the core curriculum includes a strong global focus.
Elon seeks a strong, personable leader who will embrace and forward the university’s unique teacher-scholar-mentor model and its highly engaged, learning-centered environment. The Dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, is the chief academic and administrative officer of the college, reporting directly to the provost. The Dean leads a college of 19 departments, more than 20 programs, and approximately 260 full-time faculty who are dedicated teacher-scholar-mentors. The college, which shelters a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, graduates approximately 670 arts and sciences majors annually and also provides the common core curriculum for all of Elon University’s undergraduate students.
